West Ham United have tied Jordan Brown down to a new 12-month contract.
The 18-year-old, who is yet to feature for the senior side, was due to become a free agent at the end of the season.
However, the striker has now committed himself to Upton Park until at least the summer of 2016.
"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract. I'm happy the club has faith in me to give me another year to push on and try and prove myself," he told the club's official website.
"I heard I was going to get a new contract in about January or February and I was very happy. I've known about it for a while but it's good to actually sign it."
Brown has scored three goals in seven starts for the development side this season.
