Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez believes that big decisions are never given in his team's favour, because of who the team are.
Wigan's sixth consecutive loss of the season came against Newcastle on Saturday, meaning that the team sit at the bottom of the Premier League with five points from nine games.
"I don't think it's down to my nature or personality, it's just that we're Wigan Athletic and it's not very difficult to get it wrong against us," said Martinez after the loss to Newcastle.
"That's something we need to accept. I'm not going to blame the referee - we had enough chances to win this game and score goals.
"It's so frustrating that we have had six defeats now, but key moments can give you rewards and kick-start your season.
"We could have had a penalty in the opening five minutes and a sending off which looked clear, that is disappointing."
Wigan face Fulham at the DW Stadium this weekend.
