Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez is delighted to have midfielder Shaun Maloney back from injury.
The Scot had been missing with a groin problem but made his return as a substitute in the 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers at the weekend.
The former Aston Villa man has made a bright start to the season, and Martinez is hopeful that he can carry on from where he left off before sustaining the injury.
"Shaun has been very frustrated after picking up the injury, because he started the season in great form," said Martinez.
"His professionalism has got him back earlier than expected, and it was great to see his quality once again which I felt was going to bring us three points.
"It was great to see he and James McArthur back out on the pitch."
Maloney joined the Latics for £1m from Celtic in August 2011.
