Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has bemoaned his side's lack of luck after their 1-0 defeat away at Newcastle United.
Despite threatening the Magpies for long periods of the game, Yohan Cabaye's late goal condemned the Latics to their sixth straight league defeat.
"At the moment we're in a position where we've not getting any luck," Martinez told Sky Sports News.
"In football you need to work hard to get that luck and hopefully we'll get it soon.
"Overall we were stronger and better than the home side and that is a very good sign for the future."
The loss means that Wigan are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
