Roger Espinoza looking forward to joining Wigan Athletic

Roger Espinoza says that it is a dream come true for him to join Premier League club Wigan Athletic in January.

Honduran midfielder Roger Espinoza has said that he is relishing the prospect of playing for Wigan Athletic in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old was granted a work permit on Monday and he will join the Latics on a free transfer in January after his current contract with Sporting Kansas City runs out at the end of this month.

"This has been a dream for me to play in England and I am so grateful for the club who have worked so hard to make this happen," he told Wigan's official website.

"I just can't wait now to join up with Maynor [Figueroa] and all the guys and get to work."

Espinoza joined Sporting in 2008.
