Two goals from Adam Newton helped Woking to claim a 3-1 victory from their Conference Premier trip to Halifax Town this afternoon.
The winger, who had previously only scored twice in three years for the Cards, added to a first-half strike from Giuseppe Sole.
Having started the contest brightly, the away side broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when Sole scored his eighth goal of the campaign from a set-piece situation.
Their lead was then doubled just one minute before the break when Newton fired in a volley which beat Matthew Glennon in the home goal.
Newton then made sure of the outcome in the 59th minute when he converted another opening from inside the area to make it 3-0 to Woking.
The hosts pulled one goal back when Paul Marshall scored from the penalty spot 18 minutes from time, but it proved to be little more than a consolation effort.
Woking's victory - their 10th of the season - lifts the club into third spot, while Halifax remain eighth in the table.
