Diego Benaglio feels that Wolfsburg improved against Bayern Munich but must start scoring goals.

Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego Benaglio has admitted that Wolfsburg's performance in the 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich was a small "step forward" for the season.

Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes was complimentary of Wolves' showing but Benaglio has urged his teammates to improve their consistency in the final third if they are to start winning games.

"We played a good game and made life difficult for Bayern," Bundesliga.de quotes Benaglio as saying.

"The game was a step forward, but unfortunately we were only good until we reached their penalty area."

Wolfsburg are 15th in the Bundesliga, but there is a 10-point gap to Hoffenheim below them.
