Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen draw 1-1 in the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen have played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga.

Nils Petersen had the first chance of the game for the away side, but it wasn't a good angle and he missed the target with a shot.

Bremen continued to press and Eljero Elia missed the target from a corner on 18 minutes.

Diego forced Sebastian Mielitz into a save on 34 minutes, just after his teammate Bas Dost had headed against the post. However, a minute later Bremen were in front through Marko Arnautovic, and they were able to maintain the lead into the break.

Bremen were reduced to 10 men in the 62nd minute when Lukas Schmitz was shown his second yellow and dismissed.

Two minutes later, Wolfsburg were level, Vieirinha setting up Dost to finish well.

Ivica Olic tried to put the home side in front with a shot on 77 minutes, but it was well saved.
