Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs has insisted that Ivan Perisic could stay at the club beyond the end of the current transfer window.
Perisic has been repeatedly linked with Inter Milan in recent weeks, and a move to San Siro appeared to be edging closer when reports on Thursday suggested that the Croatian would be left out of the squad for Friday's Bundesliga meeting with Schalke 04.
However, Allofs has suggested that Inter have not yet met the club's valuation of the 26-year-old.
"Everything seems to point to him staying at Wolfsburg," he told Tuttomercatoweb. "Inter have been seriously trying to get him, but the player won't come cheap and maybe that's a problem."
Perisic joined Wolfsburg from Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
