Wolfsburg sign Max Grun from Greuther Furth

Max Grun agrees a deal to join Wolfsburg from relegated Greuther Furth.

Wolfsburg have signed goalkeeper Max Grun from relegated Bundesliga outfit Greuther Furth on a three-year deal.

Grun will compete with current number one Diego Benaglio for a first-team spot and the player is looking forward to the battle.

"I would like to intensify the battle for places in goal at Wolfsburg," Sky Sports News quotes Grun as saying.

"I know what my role is, though, and I would like to achieve a lot with this team, which is why I have come."

Grun made 17 league appearances for Furth last season.
