Wolfsburg swoop for Daniel Didavi

Stuttgart's attacking midfielder Daniel Didavi agrees a five-year contract with fellow Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg have secured the services of attacking midfielder Daniel Didavi on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old will make the switch in the summer from Stuttgart, for whom he has scored 10 goals in 25 Bundesliga outings.

"Although I am fully concentrated on the closing phase of the season with VfB Stuttgart right now and my focus is completely there, it is also very clear that I have made a very conscious decision to take on a new challenge in Wolfsburg this summer," he told the club's official website.

"I am convinced that the move to VfL is exactly the right step for me, because Wolfsburg - regardless of the current situation - are chasing the very highest sporting ambitions. I want to play my part in helping the club achieve those goals."

Didavi, who was previously linked with Tottenham Hotspur, has agreed a five-year deal at the Volkswagen Arena.
