Half-Time Report: James Henry gives Wolverhampton Wanderers slender lead

James Henry fires Wolverhampton Wanderers into a 1-0 half-time lead over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this afternoon.

James Henry has fired Wolverhampton Wanderers into a 1-0 half-time lead over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this afternoon.

The breakthrough came after 13 minutes when Henry - who scored in the 2-1 defeat to Crawley Town on Tuesday - saw his teasing cross beat goalkeeper Mark Howard to end the Blades' nine-game clean sheet record.

The 24-year-old later came within the width of the woodwork of doubling his team's advantage, as he watched his long-range effort crash off the post.

Kenny Jackett's men would have surrendered their advantage shortly before the break if not for the intervention of Richard Stearman, who cleared a John Brayford effort off the line to preserve his team's lead at the interval.
