Half-Time Report: Oldham Athletic frustrate Wolverhampton Wanderers

Oldham Athletic hold Wolverhampton Wanderers to a 0-0 half-time draw at Boundary Park in League One tonight.

Oldham Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers have played out a goalless first half in their League One clash at Boundary Park.

The visitors, looking to move into the automatic promotion places in England's third tier, have forced opposition goalkeeper Mark Oxley into a string of impressive saves throughout the opening half.

Nouha Dicko, who bagged a brace in the 3-1 win over Bristol City at the weekend, was the first to test Oxley, meeting Bakary Sako's inch-perfect cross, but the keeper's instinctive save kept the youngster out.

Soon came the turn of Michael Jacobs to try to beat the 23-year-old shot-stopper, but his long-range effort was tipped over the bar by Oxley.

Dicko thought that he had found the breakthrough late in the half when he turned his marker before unleashing a fierce effort, but it cannoned off the crossbar.
