Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has vowed to "give it 100%" in his battle against acute leukaemia.
The Midlands outfit announced last week that the 31-year-old had been diagnosed with the disease following routine blood tests during pre-season training.
The devastating news led to an influx of supportive messages from across world football, and in an Instagram post from his hospital bed, Ikeme revealed that he has been 'taken back' with the swell of goodwill.

Ikeme, who has been with the club for the entirety of his senior career, is expected to be on the sidelines for a considerable period of time while he battles the disease.
Wolves, meanwhile, have brought in former Norwich City stopper John Ruddy as their new number one and are also thought to be close to a deal for Cambridge United's Will Norris.
