Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo to miss rest of the season

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Nelson Semedo reveals that he will miss the rest of the season through injury.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been dealt a blow by the news that Nelson Semedo will miss the rest of the season.

After a mixed first campaign at Molineux, Semedo had been one of Wolves' most consistent performers until he suffered a hamstring injury at Arsenal in February.

The issue led to the Portugal international not featuring again until the meeting with Burnley on April 24, exactly two months later, but the 28-year-old has found himself back in the treatment room this week.

During the early stages of the second half against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, Semedo sustained a thigh problem, and it is severe enough to keep him out of the last four games.

Jonny is expected to deputise for Semedo at right wing-back when Wolves take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
