Scott Golbourne: 'I will learn from mistake'

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Scott Golbourne believes that he will learn from the mistake that resulted in his side losing to Birmingham City last weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Scott Golbourne has revealed that he has tried to move on from the error that resulted in his side losing to Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.

With the score at 1-1, Golbourne was dispossessed by Demarai Gray before the youngster slotted the ball past Carl Ikeme, but Golbourne believes that he will benefit from the mistake made at St Andrew's.

The 27-year-old told the club's official website: "I was more disappointed with giving the ball away straight after when I was thinking about what had just happened.

"That was a warning sign for me really that I had to move on, and I couldn't let it affect the rest of the game. You just have to learn from these things.

"It doesn't happen very often – normally I would get hold of that and shove it back to Carl Ikeme but I just couldn't get it out of my feet quick enough.

"I would like to think I would make the same decision and get it right next time. You have to look at mistakes and failures as a chance to learn."

Wolves travel to the Riverside Stadium to play Middlesbrough on Tuesday evening as they look to move back into a top-six position.
