Kenny Jackett considering Zeli Ismail involvement

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett reveals that he wants to assess winger Zeli Ismail in pre-season before making a decision on his future.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has insisted that he won't rush into a decision about the future of winger Zeli Ismail.

Burton Albion are reportedly keen on tying up a second loan deal for the 20-year-old, but Jackett, who guided Wolves to promotion to the Championship last season, is keen to assess the former England Under-17 international in pre-season.

The 52-year-old told the Express & Star: "My thoughts are to have a look at Zeli in pre-season and do some work with him. I haven't set a deadline, but I'll assess it, make sure he gets the games he needs and doesn't stay here floating around the edge of it.

"There are two leagues below us now and I'm sure there are teams who would take some of these players, and that's a positive.

"But at the moment, we'll carry on with Zeli in pre-season and see where he's up to compared to the others in his position – then, if it's right, he may go out again."

Ismail scored three goals in 16 appearances for Burton during the second half of the last campaign.
