Kenny Jackett: 'I will continue striker rotation'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett insists that he will continue to rotate his strikers throughout the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett believes that rotating his strikers can benefit the club as they head into the winter.

Jackett dropped top scorer Leigh Griffiths on Tuesday as Wolves suffered a narrow defeat to Walsall, but the former Millwall boss has insisted that it will help his side over the next three months of the season.

The 51-year-old told the Express and Star: "Substitutes have featured quite prominently for us and the fresh energy has helped us against perhaps jaded defenders after an hour.

"So it's something that we'll continue to do and it's something that I've spoken to the players about a lot. Our substitutes can make a difference – we'll have a bigger and a deeper squad than other sides this season.

"We want to be going into the winter months as strong as we can, and if we've got three forwards for two positions, they're three good players and they'll all contribute."

Wolves are currently in third position in the League One table.
