Roger Johnson has vowed to repay Dave Jones after the defender completed a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday this week.
The 30-year-old had not appeared for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season after being placed on the transfer list, but he has now been reunited with Owls boss Jones, who he played under at Cardiff City.
"I'm a footballer and I just want to play football," Johnson told the club's official website.
"The gaffer has given me the chance to come here and I'm going to take it with both hands and I'm looking forward to it.
"I had great times with the manager at Cardiff and he has put his faith in me again and I won't be letting him down."
Johnson is in line to make his Wednesday debut against Birmingham City this weekend.
