Mick McCarthy says he will stay loyal to his side and not make "wholesale changes" for this weekend's Black Country derby.

Mick McCarthy has said he is not planning "wholesale changes" for the Black Country derby with West Brom this weekend.

Wolves lost four games in a row before the international break but the manager plans to stick by the team that he believes are playing well.

"I still maintain we're getting punished, not through playing badly but by making mistakes, so I'm not going to make wholesale changes," he told the Express & Star. "That doesn't get you anywhere."

McCarthy was critical of decisions made by officials in his side's 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle earlier in the month after a goal was disallowed and a penalty was mistaken for a free kick.

Kickoff at the Hawthorns is at midday on Sunday.
