Saunders praises Henry attitude

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has admitted that he is impressed with Karl Henry's reaction to being dropped from his side's starting lineup.

Henry has been a constant fixture in the starting XI at Molineux since the arrival of Saunders, but he was replaced by David Davis for the club's 2-1 win over Bristol City last weekend.

However, Saunders has revealed that he was pleased with the 30-year-old after he remained full of support for his teammates in the dressing room ahead of Saturday's game.

The 48-year-old told the club's official website: "I've spoken to Karl, and he's shown a great attitude.

"On Saturday - all the way through the build-up and then during the game itself, he was totally supportive of everybody, and that's the reaction I want.

"That's shown me and everyone else what a good professional he is."

Henry has made 257 appearances for Wolves since he joined the club from Stoke City in 2006.
