Dean Saunders praises his Wolverhampton Wanderers players for their 3-2 win over Middlesbrough.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has praised his relegation-threatened side for giving it their all in the 3-2 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.

Saunders's men led three times before finally hanging on after Kevin Doyle's header, with the manager admitting that it was a great game for the neutral to watch.

"The game was unbelievable to watch for a neutral," Sky Sports News quotes Saunders as saying. "Both teams could have scored 10. We went for it. We had to win and you are standing on the side there hoping we can take the chances.

"If we keep winning, I think the way other results are going we have a chance of getting in the playoffs. Everyone has got momentum going now and we had to win.

"If we can win again at Birmingham City on Monday, we could be just four points away from 10th spot."

Wolves are now in the relegation zone on goal difference only.
