Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken believes that nobody loses from Somen Tchoyi's trial period with the club.
It was confirmed yesterday that the former West Bromwich Albion winger had been given the opportunity to earn a permanent contract with Wolves.
"His agent phoned and asked if he could train with us," said Solbakken. "He wants to get fit so we have said 'yes'.
"In the international break when we have so few players, it's a win-win situation for Wolves and he can train with us. But he has a long way to go fitness-wise.
"He got a couple of training sessions in last week and he trained with the reserves yesterday."
Should Tchoyi sign on at Molineux, he will become the first person since Paul Edwards back in 1994 to swap West Brom for Wolves.
