Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage is delighted with the immediate impact of summer recruit Hwang Hee-Chan at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage has heaped praise on summer recruit Hwang Hee-chan following his immediate impact at Molineux.

The on-loan RB Leipzig striker has netted three goals in four appearances since arriving in the Premier League in the summer window.

Two of these goals arrived in Saturday's 2-1 win over Newcastle United at Molineux, with one arriving each side of Jeff Hendrick's equaliser for the visitors, to give his new side their third victory in their last four league matches.

Lage told reporters after the game: "He has adapted to the Premier League, he fits our way of playing because we need a player like him.

"I believe the players want to play with the ball. Top players can enjoy our game and he is a top player, like the other guys."

South Korean international Hwang has eased some of the workload off teammate Raul Jimenez, following the Mexican's return to fitness this season, and the two combined for both goals to see Wolves rise to 10th in the table.

Wolves and Hwang now head off for the international break, with a West Midlands derby against rivals Aston Villa awaiting them when they return.
