Wolverhampton Wanderers chief executive Jez Moxey has denied that the Premier League club have sacked manager Mick McCarthy.
Rumours emerged last week suggesting that the 52-year-old was close to facing the chop from Molineux, causing bookmakers to slash their odds on McCarthy becoming the next boss to be axed.
Moxey swiftly calmed the claims and stated that the club are focused on bring new players to the West Midlands side.
"We're working hard, as we always do, to see if we can bring in a third signing," The Express quotes Moxey as saying.
