Wolves lineup vs. Leicester: Predicted XI for Premier League relegation six-pointer

Will much change in Pereira's first game? Wolves predicted lineup vs. Leicester

Sports Mole looks at how Wolverhampton Wanderers could line up in Vitor Pereira's first game as manager away to Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters may not see much difference in Vitor Pereira's first starting XI when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Gary O'Neil had been playing with a three-at-the-back system for much of the season until his sacking last week, but based on Pereira's time with Al-Shabab, he may stick with the same formula.

The personnel cannot be the same though, because Rayan Ait-Nouri is suspended following his outburst after the final whistle which saw him sent off in the defeat to Ipswich Town.

Joao Gomes will return from a ban of his own though, and as one of Wolves' most valuable players, his place in the side is almost guaranteed.

So to is that of Matheus Cunha, but the Brazilian attacker is in danger of being handed a suspension by the FA once they complete the investigation into the fracas that ensued following full time at Molineux last week, where he elbowed an Ipswich staff member and broke his glasses.

Numerous players are close to returning from injury for the visitors, including Pablo Sarabia after a brief setback, and Boubacar Traore, who has been missing since September, but Christmas was pencilled in as a potential return date for him.

Jose Sa is also nearing a return after hurting his shoulder earlier this month, but after the Portuguese stopper's performance against Everton in particular, Sam Johnstone may continue in goal regardless of his fitness.

Likewise, Craig Dawson suffered the ignominy of scoring two own goals at Goodison Park that night, and he has not featured since, especially following the return of Uruguayan international Santiago Bueno.

Mario Lemina was stripped of the captaincy last week after his angry reaction following the defeat to West Ham United, but still started against Ipswich, and under new management will be in the plans still, and could even regain the armband.

Despite performing brilliantly last season, Hwang Hee-chan has still not started since mid-September, and one goal and three assists in six sub appearances for Goncalo Guedes has still not been enough to see him break into the first time regularly yet, so the attacking duo will also hope the new manager gives them more of an opportunity in the coming weeks.

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup:
Johnstone; Nelson Semedo, Bueno, Toti; Doherty, Andre, Lemina, R Gomes; Joao Gomes, Cunha, Strand Larsen
