Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Kenny Jackett has confirmed that the club are in the process of negotiating a deal to sign Wigan Athletic striker Nouha Dicko.
The 21-year-old has yet to make a league appearance for Wigan, but he recently scored five goals in as many League One appearances while on loan at Rotherham United.
"Nouha Dicko was here for talks which will go on over the weekend," Jackett told the club's official website after Saturday's 2-0 win over Preston North End. "I've been concentrating on the game but I knew he was due here to speak to [chief executive] Jez Moxey and [head of football development and recruitment] Kevin Thelwell.
"I don't know how it all went because my concentration over the last day or so has all been on this game. So I haven't met him today because of the game so we will see what happens. We are working very hard at trying to improve the squad now we have an opportunity with the window open.
"There are a few options that we have but I don't think there will be numerous additions but vital ones. What we want is a complement to what we have here already."
Dicko netted a brace for Rotherham in a 3-3 draw with Wolves in December.
