Stephen Ward unsure over future

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Stephen Ward admits that he does not know where he will be playing his football after the end of this season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Stephen Ward has admitted that he does not know where his future lies beyond the end of the season.

The 28-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Ward has said that he would like to extend his stay with the Seagulls after playing regular first-team football at the club.

"I've got another year [at Wolves] so I'm a little bit in limbo at the moment. I've not really spoken to them. They are concentrating on getting promoted, which I think they will do the way they are going," he told The Argus.

"I have really enjoyed it here and I'm open to anything but from now until the end of the season I just want to keep enjoying my football and hopefully help Brighton get into the play-offs, because I think the club deserves to be challenging to go into the Premier League."

The Republic of Ireland international has made 32 appearances for Brighton this season.
