Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett believes that Sheffield Wednesday boss Stuart Gray remains keen to agree a deal for defender Roger Johnson.
Johnson impressed during a loan spell at Hillsborough last year, and after receiving a call from the Owls boss on Thursday, Jackett has revealed that he wouldn't be surprised to see the former Birmingham City player return to Yorkshire.
The 52-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I had a call before training yesterday from Stuart Gray, but there hasn't been any advancement.
"It was just a general enquiry on a number of players, but you'd assume that there would be interest because he did very well at Sheffield last year.
"He's very well thought of there, definitely, Stuart Gray speaks well of him. It may be at a level where Jez Moxey is talking to his agent."
Sheffield Wednesday are also thought to be considering a move for midfielder David Davis, who is free to leave Molineux on loan.
