Wolverhampton Wanderers' young forward Rafa Mir is reportedly proving too expensive for Spanish second-tier side Real Zaragoza.

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Rafa Mir's wages are said to be pricing him out of a proposed move to Spanish second-tier side Real Zaragoza.

The 22-year-old has three years remaining on his current deal at Molineux - signed in January 2018 - but has only ever made four appearances for the side and spent last season out on loan at Las Palmas.

During that loan spell, Mir had a decent return of seven goals in 30 appearances for the Segunda Division side, and that has led to interest from rivals Zaragoza, who have now been out of the top flight for six years.

According to El Periodico de Aragon, a move is unlikely to materialise due to Mir's wages, which are thought to be around £20,000 a week after tax.

The youngster could still have a Spanish lifeline in the form of Granada, who are said to have him on their list of targets after their promotion back to La Liga.
