Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in talks with Angers midfielder Romain Saiss over a permanent transfer.
The French-born Morocco international, 26, was thought to be in the Midlands on Monday in order to work out a deal with the Championship side, who have already made seven signings since their takeover by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International last month.
Saiss, who plays mainly as a defensive midfielder but can also operate at centre-back, joined the Ligue 1 outfit from Le Havre last summer in a £450,000 deal and made 35 appearances in his debut campaign, scoring twice.
Wolves are also thought to be close to a deal for Benfica veteran Luisao, while they have been linked with bids for Idrissa Sylla and Birkir Bjarnason.
Earlier today the side announced the double loan capture of Manchester United's Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Benfica's Ola John.
