Qatari officials considering legal action over possible 2022 World Cup re-vote?

Qatar considering legal action?

Qatari officials are allegedly thinking about the possibility of taking legal action if the vote for the 2022 World Cup is re-run.

Several allegations of corruption during the bidding process have led to a possible re-vote if any wrongdoing were uncovered.

Qatar denies any wrongdoing and will wait for FIFA investigator Michael Garcia's verdict on June 9.

UEFA president Michel Platini says that he would back a re-vote if Qatar were found guilty of the allegations of corruption against them.

Qatari officials claim that more than £23bn worth of investment has been linked with the 2022 World Cup and would be under threat if FIFA were to strip Qatar of the tournament.
