Wycombe Wanderers have reached the League One playoff final despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to MK Dons in the second leg of their semi-final this evening.
Gareth Ainsworth's side went into the second leg with a 2-0 advantage following Thursday's meeting at Adams Park.
That advantage looked under threat when Troy Parrott gave MK Dons the lead on the night after just 26 minutes, and the hosts continued to dominate proceedings at Stadium MK.
However, despite Liam Manning's side boasting 69% possession and having 29 shots in total, they were unable to find a crucial second goal to force extra time.
Wycombe failed to have a single shot on target throughout the 90 minutes and had just one corner to MK Dons' 18 as the hosts launched wave after wave of attack.
Ainsworth's side held on against the onslaught, though, booking their place at Wembley, where they will face either Sunderland or Sheffield Wednesday on May 21.
Wycombe, who were relegated from the Championship last season, finished sixth in the regular season table, six points behind MK Dons.
The Dons, meanwhile, finished third in the table, just a point off the automatic playoff places, but now face a fourth consecutive season in League One.
