Last-gasp Oxford United hold 10-man Wycombe Wanderers

Johnny Mullins scores an equaliser in the seventh minute of stoppage time to earn Oxford United a 2-2 home draw with 10-man Wycombe Wanderers.

Defender Johnny Mullins scored an equaliser in the seventh minute of stoppage time to earn Oxford United a 2-2 home draw with 10-man Wycombe Wanderers.

Dean Morgan nodded the visitors ahead on 44 minutes with his first goal of the season.

Charles Dunne, who was making his debut for Wycombe having recently joined on loan from Blackpool, was then shown a straight red card four minutes after half time for an ugly challenge on Alfie Potter.

Oxford were level within two minutes of the sending off as Danny Rose's 30-yard free-kick, which was intended as a cross, evaded everyone and nestled in the back of the net.

Morgan then silenced the Kassam Stadium on the hour mark by beating goalkeeper Ryan Clarke with a precise low drive to put Wycombe back in front.

However, Wycombe fans were celebrating prematurely when, with the last kick of the game, Mullins latched onto Rose's knock-down and fired home from close range.

Oxford stay top of League Two on goal difference.
