Yeovil Town expect to soon complete a deal for former Hearts midfielder Ruben Palazuelos, manager Gary Johnson has said.
The Spaniard, 30, has been training with the Glovers for two weeks but is yet to receive international clearance.
"The deal's close," Johnson told BBC Somerset.
"He's a midfielder that can pick out a pass, that's his game. I feel we need that one who's going to feed the forwards with the right ball at the right time. We have got a lot of endeavour but not that spotter."
Johnson is hoping that Palazuelos, who made 125 appearances for Hearts between 2007 and 2011, could make his debut in Yeovil's next match against Watford on Tuesday.
