Lewis Hamilton has admitted that he was relieved to win the Bahrain Grand Prix, describing it as being "on a knife edge".
The 29-year-old finished the course ahead of fellow Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg in what was a thrlling battle at the Sakhir circuit.
"It was exciting," Hamilton is quoted as saying by PlanetF1.com. "Nico drove fantastically well throughout the race. It was so fair but it was so hard to keep him behind me. I was on a real knife edge the whole time so it was a great relief to manage it."
Sergio Perez took third place, while Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenburg finished in fourth and fifth respectively.
