Sebastian Vettel was fastest on the track in the final practice before qualifying at the Brazilian Grand Prix on Saturday.
The Red Bull driver finished ahead of Jenson Button and will attempt to break the record for most pole positions in a season later today.
He has won 14 poles ahead of the season ending-race, drawing him level with Nigel Mansell's feat in 1992.
Vettel's teammate Mark Webber came in third while Lewis Hamilton was fourth and Fernando Alonso fifth.
Conditions were hot on the track but rain has been widely forecast for Sunday.
