Max Chilton is reportedly in line to complete Caterham's driver lineup at this weekend's season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The 23-year-old had been racing with Marussia until both they and Caterham went into administration and missed the recent grands prix in America and Brazil.
While Marussia appear to have folded, Caterham will be on the grid this weekend after raising the funds needed to compete.
There is a free Caterham seat because Marcus Ericsson terminated his contract with the team ahead of a move to Sauber next season.
Kamui Kobayashi will be one driver for Caterham, but the other could be Chilton, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
