Championship leader Sebastian Vettel sails to his third victory of the season in the Canadian Grand Prix.

Defending champion Sebastian Vettel has extended his lead at the top of the drivers' championship to 37 points with a comprehensive victory at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The Red Bull man started on pole in Montreal and never looked in trouble as he glided home unchallenged to his third victory of the season - and first ever at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Second place became a battle between Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, with the Ferrari driver eventually passing his Mercedes rival, although the pair continued to jostle until the finish line.

Mark Webber finished fourth and Nico Rosberg in fifth, but the sixth-placed car came as somewhat of a surprise as Jean-Eric Vergne came in ahead of Paul di Resta.

Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen and Adrian Sutil rounded off the top 10.
