Ferrari's Fernando Alonso secured his first victory of the Formula 1 season with a superb display at the Chinese Grand Prix.
Despite starting on pole, Lewis Hamilton was quickly caught by Alonso, who started third on the grid, in the early stages of the race.
Alonso avoided any danger and only relinquished the lead following pit stops as he cruised to a win in the third Grand Prix of the season.
Following a tight battle for the remaining places on the podium, it was Kimi Raikkonen and Hamilton who joined Alonso in the post-race celebrations.
Mark Webber suffered another blow to his season as he was forced to retire before the race reached its 20th lap and Sebastian Vettel had to settle for fourth on a disappointing day for Red Bull.
