Brembo, the renowned Italian brake manufacturer with a decades-long partnership with Ferrari, has strongly denied rumours of a potential split with the iconic Formula 1 team.

The rumours emerged amid claims that incoming Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton has requested to retain the Carbon Industrie brakes he has used throughout his Mercedes career. If true, the switch would mark the end of a 50-season relationship between Ferrari and Brembo.

Adding to the speculation, Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur was said to support the potential change. A source from Carbon Industrie reportedly told the Japanese outlet as-web.jp: "Everyone knows that Lewis wants to have Carbon Industrie brake discs on his car."

However, Brembo has dismissed the reports, with the Italian magazine Autosprint publishing a statement from the company confirming that "all the components of the braking system, including the carbon discs, will remain supplied by Brembo in 2025 and beyond."

Brembo's statement further clarified: "With reference to the rumours that appeared on the morning of Thursday 12 December in some online media outlets, Brembo denies that there is a breakdown in the collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari."
