Ferrari dismiss Sebastian Vettel speculation

Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo insists that he does not want to partner Fernando Alonso with Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel.

Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo has insisted that he does not want "two roosters in the same henhouse" after Sebastian Vettel was linked with a move to the team in 2014.

Red Bull's two-time world champion is currently challenging Ferrari's Fernando Alonso for the Formula 1 championship but Di Montezemolo has revealed that he would prefer to have two drivers that will not be in direct competition with each other.

Di Montezemolo told the team's official website: "Today, the problem is not with drivers.

"2014 is still to come but I don't want to have two roosters in the same henhouse, rather two drivers who race for Ferrari and not for themselves."

Vettel won Sunday's Korean Grand Prix to open up a six-point lead over Alonso in the drivers' rankings.
