Germany's Adrian Sutil insists that a conviction for grievous bodily harm will not prevent him from returning to Formula 1.

Adrian Sutil has insisted that he is ready for a return to Formula 1 in 2013.

The German driver did not participate in the 2012 season after he was replaced by Nico Hulkenberg at Force India.

Although the 29-year-old was found guilty of grievous bodily harm in February, he has revealed that his conviction will not restrict his entry to different countries on the Formula 1 calendar.

Sutil told reporters: "We checked all the countries and there is no problem for me to travel.

"All my problems last winter are solved. I'm ready for a new beginning."

Sutil has been linked with a return to his former team to partner Paul di Resta.
