Kevin Magnussen appears set to remain part of the Formula 1 scene next season, albeit in a different capacity from his current role as a driver.
Reports suggest that Valtteri Bottas, following his departure from Audi-Sauber for 2025, could join Mercedes as a reserve driver and advisor to team principal Toto Wolff. Similarly, Magnussen, who is not being retained by Haas for 2025, might take on a comparable position at the American team.
Back in July, Haas team boss Ayao Komatsu hinted at plans to "find a way to continue working together in some way" with the Danish driver.
Now, four months later, Komatsu has reiterated the intention to keep Magnussen involved, telling France's Auto Hebdo: "Yes, we are still working on it."
Komatsu explained that while the specific nature of the 32-year-old's future role remains undecided, there is no urgency to finalize the details. "We are not really stressed," Komatsu said.
"In a triple header we are just so busy trying to do our best on the track. Because there is no stress and we kind of know we want to do, there is no rush."
