Sergio Perez has said that he will be pushing hard to get McLaren back to the front of the grid at the Spanish Grand Prix.
The team have endured a difficult start to the 2013 season in the MP4-28 car that has lacked competitive pace.
Perez and his teammate Jenson Button have only amassed 26 points between them for the first four races, but the Mexican hopes that the three-week break will have given the team fresh impetus.
"After a tough start to the season, we are all united to get this team back where it belongs at the front of the grid," Perez told Sky Sports News. "Hopefully, we have turned the corner now.
"After the first four flyaways, there's a bit of a natural break - like it's time for everyone to reset and start a new season in Europe.
"It always feels exciting returning to Europe - almost like the start of the season again - but it's also good that there's a three-week break between Bahrain and Barcelona."
The 23-year-old joined McLaren from Sauber.
