Nico Rosberg eases to Chinese Grand Prix victory

Nico Rosberg wins his sixth Grand Prix in a row in China, while Lewis Hamilton has to settle for seventh place.

Nico Rosberg continued his 100% winning start to the new Formula 1 season thanks to this morning's victory at the Chinese Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver, who has now won the last six races - split over two campaigns - started on pole and never really looked like he was going to surrender his position at the front of the field.

Despite a collision with Kimi Raikkonen on the first lap, Sebastian Vettel in the Ferrari claimed second spot, while Red Bull's Daniil Kvyat completed the podium.

As for world champion Lewis Hamilton, he was faced with the prospect of starting last on the grid because of engine issues in qualifying.

It proved to be an eventful outing for race-winner Rosberg's teammate as he was forced to pit on five separate occasions before eventually crossing the line in seventh place.
