Lewis Hamilton is targeting a podium finish in the Singapore Grand Prix tomorrow.
The Mercedes driver finished fifth in qualifying, having started on pole for the last five races.
"Clearly the car was quicker than what I was able to get out of it tonight," Hamilton told reporters.
"It's frustrating not to have qualified closer to the front as Nico [Rosberg]did. So not a good day for me but that's life.
"We'll turn today's negative into a positive overnight and I'll be pushing as hard as I can in the race. There are still people ahead of me that we can beat and our target is to get on the podium."
Hamilton won the Singapore Grand Prix back in 2009 when he was at McLaren.
