Nico Rosberg claims victory at Mexican Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg sees off the challenge of Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton to win the Mexican Grand Prix.

Nico Rosberg has seen off the challenge of Lewis Hamilton to win the first Mexican Grand Prix in 22 years.

The 30-year-old started on pole and pipped his Mercedes teammate Hamilton to win his fourth race of the season.

Valtteri Bottas completed the line up on the podium by taking third, while home favourite Sergio Perez managed an eighth-place finish.

However, Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen both failed to finish, meaning that Ferrari ended without a driver for the first time in nine years, with another former world champion Fernando Alonso also retiring.
