Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has admitted that the wet conditions and subsequent delay in Q2 ensured that it was a "tough day" at Silverstone.
Vettel qualified fourth on the grid but was close to being eliminated in Q2, and the German has said that he might not have made such a quick time had the conditions not cleared up.
"It was difficult today and in the end we only got one lap when the conditions were at their best," Vettel said. "I think I should have been a bit quicker, but that's life."
Vettel was cautious about his chances in tomorrow's race, saying: "It's raining again now and it will probably be the same weather again tomorrow, so we'll see what happens. It's going to be a long race but we are at the front which is good."
Vettel has won the British Grand Prix once, in 2009.
