Mark Webber secures the fastest time around the track in Suzuka in the second practice of the day ahead of Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.

Red Bull driver Mark Webber has secured the fastest time in the second practice of the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka.

The 36-year-old set the pace in the second session of the day, while McLaren's Lewis Hamilton managed to secure the runner-up position ahead of Sunday's race.

Webber's teammate Sebastian Vettel completed the track in the third-fastest time, with Force India's Nico Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso of Ferrari in fourth and fifth respectively.

Jenson Button, who was quickest in the first practice, could only muster up a time worthy of seventh best, while Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher crashed out by hitting a barrier on the spoon curve.
